Yamaha does make quite a few things. All of which can be quite nice. One of the managers at work has a Yamaha motorcycle which is quite nice.

That was funny! :lmao:
Thanks for sharing it. :thmbsp:

Yes, Yamaha is known for its focus on one and only one thing.

That is how it is able to build absolutely world-class
turntables,
er,
amplifiers,
er,
speakers,
er,
pianos,
er,
motorcycles,
er...

Yeah, we all know Yamaha concentrates on one and only one thing.

Making GOOD things WELL!

I think something like that every time I contemplate my GT-2000 turntable, M-2 amplifier, NS-1000 speakers... I never set out to be a Yamaha guy at all, but darn if some of the best gear I've ever found hasn't had that Yammie label on it! Bless those anonymous Japanese salarymen, engineers, and workers!

Yamaha products used recently:

NS-1000M speakers
NS-200M speakers
PC2002M amp
CDX-1100U CD player

and...

a Yamaha golf cart!

I have a non-disclosure agreement but have seen one of Yamaha's new bikes and it is a radical design change. Stay tuned for what will probably be adopted throughout the industry for a lot of the larger power motorcycles. Their gas powered golf carts are one of the best, too.

Not quite sure why, but Yamaha is actually trying to separate the name Yamaha from their line of Star Motorcycles..

:lmao:...very humorous indeed...I count myself as one whose life has truly benefited from Yamaha's across the board excellence....grand pianos that sound so good that they can bring tears to your eyes when under the right hands, electric pianos as well...I raced a pair if FJ100 Yamaha superbikes that sounded pissed off if they weren't allowed to eat, and reach speeds well north of 160 mph, as well as owning and riding a Yamaha touring motorcycle for about twenty years...numerous superb mixing boards...very nice guitars, acoustic, electric and basses..rode in a badass Yamaha boat once...one of the coolest sounding race engines I've ever heard was a V-10 they produced for Formula One racing...oh yeah, they make pretty decent home audio stuff too..

Yes, I'm sure glad the Yamaha Corporation stayed focused on that one thing they make so well, and didn''t wander too far afield from it, and thereby dilute their standards..:D

oh yeah..their R1 superbike is making a mockery of international road racing efforts by the other giants in the field...Ben Spies and Valentino Rossi are very likely characters to be aboard their flagship racing bike..they are the arguably the best ever, too..

Its funny to see this thread.

Ihave been thinking lately about how together yamaha is across the board.

I just picked up a used birch drum set that is awesome. Its not even top of the line and it tunes up well and sounds like drums are supposed to sound.

I wish all companies were this good.

A friend of mine has a Yamaha Saxofone..........A few musicians have been quite impressed by the way it sounds and the quality of its manufacture.....

Can you call that "Natural Sound"?:music:

I was enamoured years ago with the Yamaha Nathan East model bass...I think he's still using it..I saw him on TV with Clapton last year and he was anyway

yamaha is an amazing company, i have a very inexpensive acoustic guitar FG700S and friends that would know are very impressed with it although they want the action lowered ..laffs . their philosophy seems to be "if we make it we make it the very best we can" and i havent seen anything with their name on it that wasnt high quality.

I have always had great relations with Yamaha, and will continue to do so. My first marching snare drum, A Yamaha sFz 14" was the sole reason I was so driven to practice everyday. The sound was just phenomenal, and the instrument was perfect in quality. From my Yamaha YZ 250 Motocross bike, to the main speakers in my system, Yamaha truly has the leading edge in quality.
