Heathkit SA-2 No Sound

Viewed from the front, the 12AX7s are the tubes closest to the left, or from the rear, the far right. The manual is available.

Yep, they were in the wrong spots!!!! I assumed when I got the amp, the tubes were in the correct spot, that was an error. There were also two bad EL84's and a bad GZ34. Now she sounds great!!!! Thank you for all of your help!!!!

Early in my career as a mechanic I had a boss pull me aside and break down the word.
When you assume
You make an "Ass" out of "u" and an "ass" out of "me"
Now spell it out...

I know I constantly need reminders that I assume too much.
Measure twice cut once.
Trust but verify.

Now, either use a label maker or use a sharpie pen and put the tube numbers right next to the tubes themselves!
