Install Garrard 401 on new Plinth

This does sound lame when I can rebuild a Jag V12 engine. How does one mount a Garrard 401 to a new plinth. I see odd appearing bolts with clips, some with springs, reference to special 'English' threads, etc, etc.

I have 4x 1-3/4 inch long threaded studs (without nuts) with a machined spot for a C clip. The plinth I ordered is 4-1/4" height. Does the plinth builders counter drill the base as standard practice for these stock Garrard bolts? :scratch2:

I can't help with the Garrard, I have a ROK B12GH. Good luck to you with your idler. I'd like to pick your brain on my V12, I'm having starter issues. Would it be OK to PM you?

Hmmmm? Idlers and Jags. Who would have thunk it?

I worked at a Jag dealer when I was in college. Yes, I rebuilt motors (long ago). You can PM me, but been a while.

yes you have four threaded studs that come are screwed in to the top plate. most plinths have a recessed holes for the mounting bolts, however I am sure you could get longer threaded rod and have them go all the way through the plinth. I also added a set of red plumber silicon washers between the top plate and the plinth and they completely killed any rumble. good luck and post some pics in the Garrard 301/401 owners club thread!

Assume English bolt thread is same as SAE/US. I will post completed project. Plinth is about 4 weeks out for delivery. Thanks.
