Jbl R133 worth $250

I have a chance to pick up a pair of jbl R133 speakers for $250 from the original owner. He had the surrounds redone and coning? done.
The speakers are absolutely mint smoke-free environment but the thing is they cheapen the speakers and everything went downhill so but that midrange looks kind of funny what do you people think is it worth 250.

Probably not. I never heard of that particular model before, but if you looked at ebay completed sales you will find one pair sold for $103 and another for $21.50.
 
They don't look bad, but they definitely aren't on the JBL short list for most audiophiles. Without doing some ebay research, I'd guess that $250 might be all the money on that model.

I've got L220's, so I think I'll pass. I bet someone would pay $100-$200 on my local CL, if they were advertised right. That's why I said that I thought $250 was all the money... It would be the most you'd ever expect to get out of them on just right day from just the right buyer. The same reason I occasionally see people pay $150-$200 for SM model Infinity speakers... every once in a while, someone will pay stupid money for something worth only half the amount!
