kenwood ld-60 info?

Hi, First off i am a audio newb so bear with me :D. I picked up a set of kenwood ld-60 3 way speakers at an estate sale for next to nothing. I cant seem to find any info on these things and i was hopeful one of you would be familiar enough with these to enlighten me. They also gave me a set of ultralateral 200's.... those are in the shop lol.

Bump/ I managed to find a set on ebay for a stupid amount. Any reason why such a high price and not being able to find any other info?

Big difference.
Sellers can ask whatever they want. Doesn't mean they will get it.

If they sold for a "stupid amount" it could have been someone who just HAD TO HAVE THEM.
Or shill bidding.
Or just a flaky bidder who probably didn't pay.

No offense intended, but neither those Kenwoods or the Ultralinears are highly regarded and in big demand.
That doesn't mean they can't serve your purposes well.
 
No offense taken, i figured that was a crazy price lol. I think they will serve me well enough i just was not sure as to if they were a decent quality set of speakers. Honestly i couldnt of bought a meal at mcdonalds for what i gave for them so its hard to lose i guess. :D

Speaking of which, my first "real" speakers were a pair of.......
ta-duh! You guessed it.....Ultralinears.
Next pair was Lafayette 2002+, again not a highly regarded or valuable speaker.
The road continued on for me.
Infinity RSM's, Snell JIII's , and a pair of Marantz HD66 speakers have all entered my home since those first Ultralinears.

Hope the Kennys and Ultralinears do work well for you.
And perhaps your audio journey is just beginning....
 
I'm too inexperienced to know better but I find the lower crossover point on those Kenwoods interesting. 3khz seems fairly high for a 12" woofer. Like the 12" is almost a fullrange. How do they sound?

The kenwoods sound pretty clear and warm, the ultralinears on the otherhand are good for the shop lol.
