Luxman M-02 capacitor question

Hi, I just joined the forum after lurking around for a few years. I have a Luxman C-02 preamplifier and M-02 amplifier that I'm in the process of re-capping. I have finished the C-02, working on the M-02 and have encountered a capacitor that I'm having difficulty identifying so that I can find a suitable replacement.

There are 2 of these caps, both of them are cracked and there's a hardened black substance that appears to have flowed out onto the circuit board.

On the schematic they are labeled 2.2uVX

The parts list shows them as C102a, b (Ac) 2.2uf 125V.

The printing on the body of the cap is VX 2B 225K.

I have removed one of these and surprisingly it still measures at 2.1u. The amplifier is working, but because these are cracked and apparently have leaked some substance onto the circuit board I would like to replace them.

Any suggestions for a replacement for these?

They are some type of film capacitor so nothing to leak, it's glue. Clean the glue off and replace the caps with something that fits the board.

I'd also take a good look at any of the components which have been touched by the black residue, it looks as though it may have become corrosive - replace as needed.

Just in case you feel it necessary to replace it, then you already have the specs: 2.2Uf @125v,
polyester will be much smaller, PP or PET will have wider lead spacing so choose carefully
for the fit, and physically adjust or use different cap for the sound.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I decided to replace with a PP (Nichicon QXP2E225KRPT), lead spacing is larger than original but there's enough room that I can make it work on the circuit board.

The black residue appears to have done no real damage, flaked off pretty easily when I scraped it.
