Customized Sansui G-9000 questions
Hi guys,
I’m a newbie and I have 2 questions:
1. I got Sansui G-9000 from a dude who customized it with blue and green LED bulbs. All original bulbs are there (with disconnected wires), he didn’t take off anything, he just added LEDs. Please see picture how it looks at night. I don’t know what to say.
On one hand, it’s not an original look and some purists would be disgusting.
On the other hand, the original white bulbs are too plain and not that attractive. These LEDS looks beautiful to me.
I will definitely want to keep colorful bulbs for myself.
My question is – should I remove LEDs in time of sale?
2. This dude clearly over-bulb by drilling a hole in the Volume control and a hole in Tuning knob to install two LEDs.
Moreover, even Volume control is fine because it uses less then a 360 degree turn, but Tuning knob should do several spins and, because of wiring there, it moves very limited (the dude used the unit as power Amplifier only).
I want to remove the LED and its wiring from the Tuning knob. I think I have to take off the Tuning knob (probably not the whole front panel) to do that.
My question is – how to take off the Tuning knob from Sansui G-9000? I see a small hole on its side, but I don’t see much inside of this hole (can’t see what tool to use).
Thank you.
