Multi-track Reel to Reel

Hey TX - How are you amigo!? That Teac looks just like mine except the background stainless steel (or whatever it is) on mine needs a good cleaning. What'd you use to make your's look so nice without streaking? Do you mind sharing your secret?

Inquiry minds need to know...
Thanks, mOOndog

Hi Moon, long time since we heard from you. :beerchug:
How the T-shirt sales going ?
So you wanna know the secret about the faceplate.. :deal:
OK, I share, it's Brasso many times in just straight back and fourth motion so all small scratches disappear and a final cover of Turtlewax to keep the finish.

Brasso it is Tx! Thanks for sharing. I'll give it a shot when I get some free time.

So how's things in your neck of the woods anyway? I just started popping back in here a few weeks ago. The past year and a half I've been concentrated on getting my business off the ground, so I kind of got a little derailed with the audio board and other things I spent my free time on. Things are going well though. We have a steady stream of business each week and I finally do something for a living that I actually enjoy, so life's not too bad at all.

Gotta run, but I look forward to bumping into you again, as well as some of the other old cronnies I use to BS with here in the audio abyss.

Thanks again for the info.
It was good talking to you again amigo!

We had a feeling you were wrapped up, making and selling those nice T-shirts.
I'm glad life and business is good, you were struggling for awhile there my friend, I still owe you some funky reel-music by the way, shot me a PM with you info. :music:
I'm single now, last year was not so fun, been struggling but a fresh new year now, sun is shining, cold beer, music and babes, what else do I need ? :D
Don't be a stranger now Moonie.

Jovinyl, don't get scared fixing yours, this one has been a on/off project for 2 years. Bought it from a gentleman in CA with original box and all documentation since new, was stored for 10 years and no headwear on this one.
It's one of the best 3340 I ever had, many are beat up and worn down.
Now, she is going to a recording studio in Kansas. :music:

Thanks I needed to hear that. I can see it's a long term project for me. Moving in August. So I put The total restore on hold Till then. Set up a work area and have at it.

Sweet looking TEACS!!!!

Those TEACs have always got to me! Love the looks and the performance. Got back in to RTRs three years ago and have three up and running. Nothing like Rolfs got but enough to make it fun around here. Even my single motor TEAC 2050 puts out a great sound. Got her in my bedroom system. Eric :music:

Eric, your collection of Teac's has a new buddy soon, have the 6010 set up here right now.
I be back with pictures and how she operates. :)

Some original accessories that came with 3340 S model were, reel adjusting disc's, Head-swabber with Teac logo, 4 rubber feet when operating in horizontal position and spare fuse.
Notice the inspection card with 3 different guys, Mr Wataanave, Mr Mikami and Mr Hionuma checked the mechanism, amplifier + final inspection when new. :D

Now that's just too cool TX!!!

Do you have any idea how much some of the garage bands out there in the world would give to have that setup (i'm sure you do).

Sweet fer sure Amigo...
