(Brave man, that Timofred!) <G>

One last hurrah of the season - 5" of "widow maker" snow here day before last. One more night in the deep freeze, then that's it for the season. Last part of March is supposed to be ABOVE normal!

The car wash lines will be long! :D

:D

Geesh! You betcha as we will drop below freezing again tonight, all the melted gunk will cause another mornin' of havoc here.

But, Saturday will be the first nice day in many weeks, so car wash owner's will make much bank! :D

Should come to California, we haven't had a winter in 2+ years. All of my T-Shirts and Short-pants are getting worn out.

Well it's 73 here in San Diego but I do not care as my company just had a global layoff ...so I'm spending all time on hunting for a job to pay the mortgage . Sorry for the rant

I feel your pain. Yesterday morning was -30 C here.. Damn cold, and a bit breezy. Better today got to -3,, but sunny and the sun has some heat finally. Tomorrow temp climbs above freezing for the first time in what seems like forever. Then the forecast is continued warming. I honestly don't think I could stand 1 more real cold day,, I'm done.
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades.

We just had our hottest Autumn day in recorded history. Knew some folks must be shivering somewhere.

.....we had a nice snow here in central Arkansas last night....woke up to 5-6 inches of powder.....

Starting off at 9 degrees this AM here, just NE of Saint Louis. High of 42 today, tomorrow 55. It's close to time to think about cranking up the Can-Am Spyder for a little ride. Anything above 40 on that thing is OK. Heated grips on, windshield up, face shield down.

i agree,i'm done..being on the south coast closer to the jetstream line,we have not been "blessed" with the snow as much as some of our neighbours....not far north of here they are measuring this seasons snowfall in feet and meters...something around 3+ meters or 10' last i checked, and the majority of that just in feb...

here we've had snow and also the last few storms, ice,EVERYTHING is covered, they 've been working hard at it but several inches of hard packed ice is not something the average plow can get up and salt doesn't work at the temps we've had...the ice is now developing it's own potholes,to try walking on most sidewalks is to take your life in your hands,in spots the ice has got to be more than 6" or 8" thick...we've had some signs of a warming trend this week, but today the windchill is about -25C

i've got some vacation time in about three weeks, usually my annual spring cleanup, with a couple feet of snow and ice in it still,i'm betting the yard won't even be clear by then
