Recommend a good cassette deck tech?

Hey guys-

Posted in D&S because I didn't know where else to put it...figure it's going to involve a cash transaction so this was the place.

At any rate, I need a cassette deck pro. I have a really sweet Kenwood KX-2060 (their TOTL 3-head deck, designed to compete with the Pioneer CT-F1250, etc) that needs service.

I've had it in to a competent local technician for a cleaning/lube/belt replacement a while back and it was working OK, but as of today things aren't right. Electronics are functioning properly but the take up reel isn't moving and the casette is sticking when ejected. I don't suspect this is anything too serious for a casette deck pro, but I don't work on small mechanical devices.

So who's my guy?

Second Sam Palermo aka SkywaveBE on a technician recommendation. Sam is also an expert and factory trained on Teac/Tascam tape recorders, open reel and cassette. Nakdoc in Nashville is another good technician.

Tinman.... Marc, is another member that is great with tape decks. He lives in California. I have read good things about Sam and I have used Marc for my Revox R2R:thmbsp:. Perry in VA ( I think) is great with Nak cassette's.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys. I've had GREAT luck with Echowars and PunkerX for amplifier and tuner restorations respectively, and knew there had to be a rockin' cassette tech (or four) around too!
