Recommendation for good new/fairly new CD player

I have a Krell KPS 28c, I bought it used back in my good old days (at least my good old financial days ) and I am thinking of maybe selling it and maybe getting a good CD player. It would just be a dedicated CD player unless some one can convince I should get an sacd player. I am not going to be doing any video stuff, just 2 channel stereo. Any suggestions. Thanks. Norm

Maybe I missed something. Why are you getting rid of the Krell?
Once upon a time things were better financially. To be honest I never truly loved the deck when I bought it used, I always thought it was bass heavy or dark sounding, with a Krell 600 amp and B&W 801 series 3 speakers but The salesman was good, I had convinced myself I really liked it, but I never truly did. If there was a newer good deck I might consider selling the Krell. The economics today for me are made worse by the Covid 19, but are not solely due to that. Just a simple redbook player. The maranta suggestion might be good. I just need a deck, no streaming stuff, no ripping discs maybe sacd compatible. I do have a lot of jazz cds I could never find on LP. I also find computer technology increasingly challenging so I need to keep it simple. Norm

I bought a used Marantz SA8004 SACD player and it's very good. You should be able to get a used SA8004 for the price of a CD6006.
