My favourite one over time has become the Panasonic SL-CT570(A) (A = blue version) - preferably in the European or Japanese version, as these sport the additional, optical SPDIF output (American version: headphone & line-out "only"). Compared to the European version the Japanese version merely sports a fancier remote control, which I don't use anyway.
The SL-CT570(A) still belongs to the classic PCDPs without support for MP3 et cetera, but otherwise is a very good, reliable model. Anti-shock memory is switchable between 40 sec. compressed, 10 sec. uncompressed and off. Power can be supplied via two AAA/Micro cells in the internal battery compartment, via two AA/Mignon cells in the external screw-on battery compartment or both - and of course the also is a DC input jack for the supplied wall-wart type power supply. I use mine with LSD-NiMH type AAs most of the time - with regular NiMH rechargeables it doesn't sound quite as good.
Heaphone output isn't all too juicy, but would probably still be sufficient for your Grados and Etys.
