Rega Planar 3 turning too slow

After a couple more attempts with the teflon tape wraps I was able to get it to turn at 33 rpm with no added vibration. I can live with it turning 1% slower than perfect. As long as that holds out, I'm going to go with it.

Thanks for following up. I had the opposite problem and used label maker tape on the sub platter, then replaced the motor and all was well.
