Sansui 1000x recap thread?

Hola,

Has anyone posted a recap thread of the 1000x? I'm Starting the rebuild project next week and AK always helps speed the process up. Thread search is a bit of a mess for this model. If not no worries, I have the schematic.

This guy came in today. It looks good and is functionall, here comes the BUT, the power switch doesnt work. It's always 'on'. Oddly it works great with the switch set to off however when turning the power switch to 'on' the front lights flickr and the audio becomes choppy. Any thoughts before I start going through the paces? It's not on the short-list of repairs I'm working on right now.

i figured this one out. Took the original power switch out and the plastic was broken.melted that breaks the circuit. I had a spare sx-750 power switch i wired up as a test and everything is working fine now. I think I can retro fit it. with the original hardware without spending any money.
