title. i have a little Fisher CA-35 housing an STK-2029 that i have on my spare TV in my game room and would like to ditch the headphones and get a small set of bookshelf speakers. Does anyone think the 2029 can survive a 4 Ohm load? STK-2029 shows a collector current of 4A, up from 3A of the 2025 which is what my CA-35 SHOULD have in it.
I Know there's more to it then just "oh yeah it can take 4A and thats over 60W at 4 Ohm". somithing about supply voltage vs output but i dont remember it exactly.

No, not recommended. Not beefy nor high current enough for many a 4 ohm load, and some 4 ohm loads can go lower, like 2.7 ohms. STK devices are delicate, no room for error. One mistake, FUBAR.
