How cool is that! Makes a lot of sense, since we know that the quality of sound recording is highly variable on discs and digital sources. Great equipment brings it all out, good or bad.

Nice find..ive seen that one before but forgot about it .i may have to search out a copy now that you brought it up.i collect the older mobile fidelity test records from the 50's back then audio fidelity and any other test records.

Pretty cool. Have you played through your quadraphonic system? Fisher made the first quadraphonic receiver (Fisher 701). Many of their quadraphonic era receivers featured a built-in SQ quadraphonic decoder.

My only quad unit is in need of work unfortunately.... HK 75+

I just found and listened to my copy of The Fisher Fidelity Standard. It is pretty interesting. One interesting point is that both Shazam and Google were not able to identify the original compositions on this ablum.

This is a not good example of SQ quadraphonic sound. A much better example is An Introduction to the World of Quadraphonic Sound Columbia QX 31403.

Apparently I've got one too, just found it tonight looking through a crate of records that I had never shelved after buying. Couldn't even tell you when or where that came into my ownership.
