va-1400 no schem's teac help? NAD? vector research

have had a vector research va-1400 int. amp sittin around for too long...was very very nice and loud but started losing left channel. have heard it was oem teac and/or NAD for damark but can find no info on any schematic site.

any suggestions other than spraying/cleaning or fuses? anyone have a VR amp schem'S? it looks a lot like the '80s nads around 140 watts

That Vector Research was OEM by Fulet, who did the early NAD. If cleaning doesn't take care of it, inspect the circuit board for solder problems. If you want to send it off for service, I have service manuals.
 
I believe I picked up this amp...

....at the end of last year, and only now did I have a chance to mess with it. HomerJSimpson and I took it apart this morning. Turns out all it needed was a good cleaning of the push button controls. This must be one of the early pieces, since for supposedly only 60 WPC, it ROCKS! :thmbsp: :music: And it has 2 tape monitors, a CD/video input, and both a MM and MC phono input, and is bridgable. Homer was impressed with the sound:D
 
Actually it was one of Vector's last models, and really cheap. They were always dynamic sounding. The earlier line is very underrated IMO. Always go by what your ears telll you...Karma!
