I think the OP was asking if there is paper at all behind the meters in Marantz amps. I know there is, in many receivers, but have no knowledge of amps. I'd be willing to bet, from looking at pictures of the 250m, that there is a colored lens or lamp cover that gives it the blue color, and not vellum. Just a guess though.

If that is the question... the 500 has no vellum.

For the most part each power amp that has meters has different meters....

I think the 250m and 510m might share...but that's it....

I know some Marantz receiver meters have the vellum as i have changed them before. I was unsure what models of amps do use paper and was using the 250M as an example.
