Very sad loss! Willie Mitchell was a superb musician and producer. He produced many Al Green and other Hi Records acts and had many superb recordings of his own for Hi Records. A very important part of the Memphis Music Scene. Ironically, I was playing a nice 45 single he produced on Syl Johnson, "Take Me To The River" which is superb. Memphis R&B and Soul will never be the same again.
