You say you want a G-33000?

Thanks for the encouragement and I know one can be had at a rediculessly low price of < $20, as I have purchased some nice receivers for that. But not a G-33000 yet!! Stay tuned.

Progress report: No G-33000 or any other scores found this at this weekends garage sales.

I did miss going to an estate sale today after church as my son locked himself and 1 1/2 year old granddaughter out of their house and we had to deliver a key from his wife.

I have high hopes for next weekend, remember the fun is in the chase.

Thanks Paul for protecting my identity !

I managed to get the G9 to my family room (next to the G33). I set up a poker type table with a milk carton (ghetto style). When I looked up and saw all my wires NEATLY arranged, I decided to cancel this project. I don't want to undo all this work previously done ($$$) by someone I paid........Wiring stereo's is NOT my hobby......Besides what ever I say someone out there will disagree with my decision (G9 vs. G33). Perhaps when I have more time on my hands I would like to do this comparson, but with Holidays upon us, work crunch, I just don't have the bandwidth right now........so I put the G9 back where it was for now. I aologize in this matter....
P.S. The Speaker A and B are now working on the G9 as sliding that plastic thingy back and forth worked !

No appology needed because it is your project and you call the shots. Even though I am technically trained, there have been times that I have become fully enraged when scrambling cables to make something new work - only to cause a sudden death in some other component. You take your time and do it right.

Working the controls on these big G's (plus the odd squirt of contact cleaner) is the single most important 'repair' for these units. Working them over and over and over. I have 'repaired' many a unit for others by simply working controls until they scream for mercy - but in the end they always yield to pressure  .

I have to agree with Paul, No appology necessary.
Some of us can do the hook ups and switches with our eyes closed while others are overwhelmed by the task.
I will admit you have a great deal more going on behind your gear then I do with mine.

Regarding someone, anyone disagreeing with your results. Thats what this is all about! I would respect your opinion however it would not change mine until I heard it for myself.
I keep saying, I certainly hope the G 33000 would sound better but in the many threads I have read here and elswhere, that does not appear to be the case.
If we try hard enough and can make it up to AK Fest 2006, we just might talk someone into bringing a beast with them. There are plenty of G 9000s around but very few 33s.
That would be a shoot out I would have to hear for myself.

Thanks guys ! I want to complete this task, but too busy. This weekend was not good either. I motivated myself to set everything this morning, then I reallized I had BLOCKED my entire way to the back to the TV and Stereo rack and was overwhelmed..........I want to do this correct. So stay tuned and I'll be back to give my feedback and of course I take pictures of the set up....One thing I giggled at when some membes noted "how big" the G9 was, the g33 is a MONSTER next to is sister......
