Yamaha PX-3 owners: What cartridge are you using?

I'm about to come into possession of a very nice PX-3 with the OEM cart. The PO apparently used it sparingly so it should have plenty of time left on it.

Can past and current PX-3 owners comment on this cartridge relative to the Denon DL160 or Dynavector 10x5 that I presently own?

Would the Denon and/or Dyna be suitable carts for the PX-3?

I've never ran a LT table before......

I have a Denon DL-160 on mine. It's my second cart as I also have a DL-160 on my Denon DP-62L. It's such a great cart in every respect that my choice was real easy to make - I just KNEW it would sound good. I do want to try new carts just to hear the differences among them, so I'm also interested in what carts people use for their PX-3's.
 
The 160 and 10x5 are both great matches to the tonearm. I would love to see your face when you hear the px-3/dynavector for the first time:music:. That 160 is no slouch either, but would be my second choice.

That was last night... yes it was something! The OEM Yamaha cartridge was tired and I had to pull it out.

More of everything across the spectrum, but especially it got down lower than expected with a nice tight presentation.

I sure do love having the overhang gauge, and the PX-3 arm was a snap to balance and dial in.
 
I've only had a Grado Blue. I would also like to move up the ladder to hear what sounds I have been missing. There is such a large selection to choose from though. It's like taking a shot in the dark. Just don't know which way to go.
 
My primary cartridge is a Shelter 501 II and my backup cartridge is a Yami MC-705 with new AT replacement stylus.
