Privacy Policy

This policy covers audiokarma.org and the sites run alongside it: videokarma.org, politicalchat.org, chevelleforum.org, airgunsforum.org, akdatabase.org, lansingheritage.org and audioheritage.org. In this policy, "we" and "our sites" mean all of them.
What we collect
If you register on one of our forums, we store your email address, username and any profile details you give us. If you post, we store what you post and the internet address you posted from. Our servers keep standard web logs, which include your internet address, browser and the pages you request. We set cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences.
Third-party online advertising
Some of the advertisements you see on our sites are delivered by third parties who also collect information through their own cookies, web beacons and similar technologies about your online activities, either on our sites or across the Internet, to understand your interests and deliver advertisements tailored to them. These third parties include advertisers, advertising agencies and ad networks that may collect information about you when you view or interact with one of their advertisements, and may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites.
Third parties may serve, track or analyse ads on our sites and thereby collect information about your online activities. We do not have access to the information these third parties collect, and their information practices are not covered by this policy. Some of these companies are members of the Network Advertising Initiative, which offers a single place to opt out of tailored advertising from member companies: optout.networkadvertising.org.
Advally Inc. operates the advertising on our sites on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Web server logs are kept for a short time for security and troubleshooting, then deleted. Your account details and posts stay while your account is open. The internet address recorded with a post is kept with that post. On audiokarma.org it is deleted after 12 months.
Deleting your account
If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account and its personal details, except the internet address stored with each post, which is kept as described above. Your posts stay on the forum and keep the name you posted under, because removing them would break the discussions other members took part in. If you want the name removed as well, tell us and we will rename the account before deleting it.
Your choices
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, a consent notice appears on your first visit to any of our sites that shows ads. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete your account. Write to the address below and we will answer within 30 days.
