Formal Introduction

Awesome pic, theophile! :thmbsp: I've never surfed myself, but always WANTED to when I was younger. I've heard a few times, that the best surfing in the world is down there in Oz.

Spaceman,
That's a spot in Sydney(!),which timofred introduced me to.A real hum-dinger of a break which I'll decline to name.Lest anyone suspect that the shot is Pipeline in Hawaii, please note the full size wetsuit.
It's not a place for the faint-hearted,it's regarded as heavier than Hawaii by those who've surfed both. There are sharks to contend with.It can be polluted.
The big advantage is that it is only about a 3 mile drive from the Sydney suburb where timofred and I used to reside.:thmbsp:
It is my favourite break in the local area, which is also home to several other of Australia's heaviest waves(no kidding). All this at a Sydney suburban beach!
When people ask me where I'd live if I won the lottery,I unhesitatingly shoot-back the name of this suburb.
timofred grew-up here,I just lived there for 8 years and am an honourory-local,(not an easy thing, they're a very tight crew).
Here,s some more pics of the same break.
