I have a Sony KDF-E50A10 with a faint blue splotch in the lower portion of the screen..Hmmm Light Engine probably..Anyone else seen this before?

Sony had some problems with their light engines on some models, the symptom was blotches of color on the screen, they were quite pronounced I think, if yours is a faint discoloration like bad purity it could be something on the lens, like a dead bug.

Well if this was a CRT purity is the first thing that comes to mind.The blue is enough to discolor picture in that region (depending on the actual picture color of course.)
