Pics of your listening space

well, I do have rugs, on one side there is no wall, the oppsite wall is full of LP's..eventually i will have pics hanging that help diffuse...

I just am not in search of the 'absolute' best sound...I want a sound that I like with gear that I like...I can live with a few stray sound waves..:-)

But of course all the slick ads in the rags show speakers in rooms with lots of windows and hardwood floors. That doesn't mean they sound good. I know from experience that carefully placed absorbers/diffusers do wonders in an overly bright room. Just wondering, that's all.

My Listening Space

This is my living room where it happens. I really have to get it better levelled. That will be this weekend's project. I intend to build something on the order of the TNT shelf with the threaded rods. I am not so worried about audiophile level stability. I put Technics SL-23 in place of the Micro Seiki for now. I aslo have a Hitachi HT-550 that may makes it way into the setup soon. Note the classy black light bulb I left on top of the Advent on the right. I am running the Kenny KA-4006 and it sounds pretty good right now.

Thanks Rick, it sort of just came together that way. The tapestry was to hide some ugly stuff on the wall, and everything just fell in afterwords. I will post some pics after I get my levelling devices in. Should give it an interesting look when fully complete. I want to get my other turntable setup in the mix as well as my Denon tape deck.
 
What I find appealing about it is it brings me back to the 70's when I had a system about the same size. I was in the Navy then and we bought cheap cotton printed drapes and stuff to decorate our 'pad'. Had kind of the same look you have there.

I believe Paul Klipsch came very close to marketing room diffusers. He wrote about them in Dope from Hope, and included plans.

WAF rules here, and thereby rules such a treatment in our little casa out of the question.
 
I added a nice new chair to my office space. I mainly listen to headphones in the room, but I do have a pair of Pinnacle PN5+ bookshelves on the far end of the room. The chair is similar to an office chair w/ rolling wheels and adjustable height, but it also reclines.:thmbsp:

Hey, Docblues: I like your bedroom system way more than the main system. Beautiful and silver.

I'm just not into HT setups for the most part. Your HT looks good, but that simple little setup in the other room is more like it! :music:
