It was the first time I've refinished a wood case. The victim was a case from a Sansui 3000a I am restoring. Chassis is done minus a volume pot and I just got new knobs and a mint faceplate.
The case was badly scared and had some water stains as well. The color (whatever it was) was near gone.
Pics of it are completely sanded down, stained, and after finishing with the urathane coat. I'm surprised at how much gloss semi-gloss has. I am fond of darker woods and used a nice red mahognay stain.
