Check out these feet I picked up off of ebay at a great price. They seem to go good with the Systemdek IIX.

Sorta gives the Systemdek IIX the "High End" look I'm going for. (at an afordable price):)

Sure does make the table look a lot classier (not that it's not pretty to start with...)

I'm jealous now, got to get me some of those...maybe the silver ones!
 
wow.. the hell with the feet.. that's one killer looking table.. anyone with a lathe can turn feet.. that wood looks fantastic! Is that a glass platter?

I'm pretty sure that the wood is cherrywood, and it's solid...
The platter is glass.

MF? can you concur on the essence of wood?
 
These pictures are giving me some really cool DIY ideas... Like I need another project.. I'm impressed as hell by this table, and not many "standard style" tables grab my attention.... Classy!!
 
I have a few comments to this Systemdek thread.

As a user of Systemdek TT's for several decades, I find the model IV somehow better soundquality-wise.

The glas is not the best solution either.
Go for the platter from the IV or go for the vinyl platter that came for the IIX as extra equipment.

The feet....................they look beautiful but.......

I prefer Solid Tech's "Disc Of Silence" under my TT.

But then under these feet is MDF, under MDF are spikes, Spikes are screwed into shelf, shelf is build onto a brick wall.

Although I fully agree; This pictured TT is indeed very pretty.
And Systemdek IIX & IV TT's are real top end killers.

Thanks Dolph... I think..... Umm yeah,

I don't know what the wood is. I thought it was walnut but I don't really know. The platter IS glass. It looks nice. I use a rubber mat to dampen the ringing effect glass is known for. I'm sure an acrylic platter would perform better sound wise, but this table is a background music type thing. :rolleyes:

It's function is to match the decor of the room and enhance the ambiance both visually and sonically. I'm very happy with it's sound. Nakoga MP-20 was key to the sound.

The blend of colors on the table look fabulous. Those spikes look like they were meant to be there from day one. Who's the maker of the feet, if you don't mind me asking.

I don't know who makes the feet but there are a couple of guys on ebay selling them. The best deal I found was from Hong Kong. Shipped very quick and well packaged.

If your interested you can search "spike feet" or "cone feet" I think thats what I used.
 
Just finished installing my newly acquired feet... (it was MF's idea...)

They look pretty good and feel very solid, and make it a snap to level the TT.

In deed they do!!! Although my wife doesn't think so, but she said that for the price, they're ok...

I absolutely love the AT440Mla. No hum at all, tracks flawlessly, got rid of the sibilance, couldn't ask for anything better for under $100...

That, coupled to the NG 1.0, was the greatest investment in my audio life.

The Super OM10 is now mounted on my Technics SL-23 and does a very decent job, so all is fine for now.

Those Dayton brass isolation cones are what I use under both my tube amp and preamp...sturdy, solid, and extremely affordable! Don't think they're the end-all be-all in isolation cones, but they do serve their purpose.:yes:

I have bought those cones and I am in the process to install my turntable and I am wondering, how did you fix the cones under the turntable?
Did you remove the screws that hold the metal plate to the wood base?

They're actually held down in place by the sole weight of the turntable.

I've removed the screws and the original feet, and with the help of another set of hands, settled the bottom plate onto the new feet.
