Thank you. I have the 300DC, the 3250B, the 2100, and tomorrow I will be picking up the 5025. The timing is perfect. This has to be karma in action. I turned a neighbor of my wife's on to a complete Kenwood system with a pair of JVC speakers just last week and I have been having some pretty good luck audiowise lately. I think I'll give some more stuff away.

I have a couple other brochures and some paperwork that I will post soon.

These brochures were acquired by a then 14 year old boy who had saved up all his money from a summer job to buy a Marantz component system. For months the pictures were the object of study and high anticipation. When the stereo components were finally purchased from the sound room at Highland Appliance in Lansing Michigan, it was a very proud kid that took them home. As a middle aged man I think about that 14 year old kid, and how fortunate I am to still have those components in my possession. Through high school, college and countless moves my Marantz components are still kickin'. There are some who don't understand how a human can become attached to a so called inanimate object such as a stereo system. Well, the stereo components may not be alive, but over the years they have sure breathed a hell of a lot of life into me. Chances are they will be with me until I'm pushin' up daisies.... :rockon:

Anybody else notice that the most common wood case AFAIK, the WC-22, is no where to be found?

Apparently the wc-22 was no longer used by '78.

Here is a scan of the original accessory order form that came with my gear, with all the wood cabinet numbers and model numbers.

Don't you wish you could still get the wood cabinets for $29.95?:yes:

Wow, that's very cool! Did you notice that it says all walnut cabinets are shipped unassembled? What's that about?

I wondered the same thing. :scratch2: I don't have any experience with the wood cabs, assembled or not. The ones I have seen on Flea Bay are all one piece and look like they are pretty solid. Can anyone shed light on this?

I recently found a guy that builds reproductions of the Marantz wood cabinets. He's expensive (approximately $165 per) but his work looks great.
