Your woofer is correct, so you want to connect it according to the markings on the board to conform with industry standard polarity.
It's the tweeter markings I screwed up, so you need to reverse its connection polarity.... :yes:
I confirm 3.022 kHz, and that's too high by my view. In this instance, I don't believe we want the filters overlapping that much; we just want a relatively constant load on the amp.
Drop your R to 10 Ohms 'til you get more inductance in there.... :yes:

I have the same Magnetbox 88-02-00. It's not my main amp, but I like it too. I also have a 197-29 and a 9302-00, both of which need restoration.
At home I never play too loudly, so the Magnetbox isn't strained.

btw, for last few months or so, i've been mod'ing magnavox amps, and i really think they match well with these Ewave speakers - dead quiet. i personally think those two (Ewave & maggie amps) are the most enlightening things happened to me in last 3-4 years of my AK life.:thmbsp::thmbsp::thmbsp:

i love my eico hf-87, but with the ewave horns and altec woofers, i did have some noise issues - specially when i listen to them only about 10 feet away. even though it was completely rebuilt, still noise when the volume is low.
the magnavox on the other hand, is completely noise less. it is a perfect match for the ewave horns. i thought AK'ers with ewave horns should try it out since they don't cost too much - actually less than half of what ewave costed me. oh, and i use passive attenuator. also building other maggies since i like this one so much.

I'm surprised it's not flatter. If you put that driver on the 6x6, I bet it is. Factory curves looked more promising, but not bad, right?

Here is my first build. Way too good and way to simple for ~ $300 invested (unless you factor in the time to absorb all the great stuff on this thread
)The next step is to measure. any recommendations for a simple/econo pc based approach? I have the mic preamp, sound card and computer.

Definitely out of the question. You won't get any compensation for the CD waveguide that way and it's bound to be an epic failure.

The day I received the drivers and waveguides, I happened to have a pair of Yamaha NS-500 that I had just acquired with bad tweeters. For yucks, giggles and reasons beyond explanation, I hooked the drivers direct to the crossovers that are 2000 Hz crossovers. While they played and could have passed as a speaker.. they did not exhibit any characteristics they are extolled for here.
Long and short.. you could, but you won't like it and it will be a waste of money for you as you will always wonder why your EWGs sound like crap...:yes:
Perhaps someone here would build a pair for you for a small fee if you feel completely unable to do so?

Several members have worked up rudimentary measurement systems using the R/S SPL meter as mic and free downloadable software. There's some exposition of that in my KLH Seventeen thread, as I recall; others here can better advise you on this.

Mate, I had the same trepidation before embarking on an inaugural crossover building journey. Totally empathise with you. But it's dead easy. Kegger has gone to great lengths to provide all the necessary parts ordering and assembly information- if you can solder, you can do it! The HPM-100 woofers sound terrific.
