New Shop/Cave System

jaymanaa

RIP 1961-2018
Doing some "long weekend" cleaning in the shop and decided to set up a system. Grado Gold on Dual CS5000 into a PAS2, into a DIY Board based ST35, ending up at Bozak 302A urbans. Looks a little bit like a diamond in a goats ass down here:D but it sounds very nice. Spinning my Secret Santa Bill Withers LP right now.:music:

Are you using the toilet for a sub?
I'm afraid it would sound like s**t.

Just kidding. I'll be that system sounds sweet.

Nice! if you shifted the right speaker a bit further right, the image from the throne may improve. :D :smoke:

Best,

Paul :thmbsp:

I thought this might be a fun thread. Actually that old toilet doesn't get used much anymore but as you can see some of the other house piping goes into the sump underneath so I'm sorta stuck with it. It has a grinder pump in there. We live on a lake and have a septic tank, so we have to do some weird stuff. Right now that's the only thing I have set up to play vinyl, but it sounds pretty good. The Bozaks are typically fairly power hungry and like amps with a high damping factor, so I normally use solid state with them, but the little ST 35 is doing a surprisingly good job. I hope this thread isn't circling the bowl:D (I couldn't resist at least one).

I've seen images of other people's systems here that could grace the pages of Stereophile, but this moves me in ways that, well, strikes me as art. That wall could easily be in one of those fancy NYC modern art shows. Only this would be the one exhibit I'd understand. Thinking outside the box and pushing the boundaries of conventional wisdom. You're a modern day van Gogh.

Of course if that 'fridge had a keg system, it would really be talking to me! My computer has a new wallpaper.

If you'd raise and turn the speakers, it would make a fantastic headphone system.:D
Just kidding. It's great to have a place to get away where nobody will bother you.

I'm not sure if I consider that a number 1 system or a number 2 system.... probably hold it's own for number one.
