Fried Model R Speakers?

The Fried Model R is one Fried's first offerings. It is made up of a KEF T27, KEF B110 and KEF B139 in a line tunnel box with a modified KEF Concerto crossover. The R2 was supposedly a much improved speaker with the same drivers and box and a new crossover. One of the big changes was to drop the woofer crossover point from about 375 Hz(??) to 200 Hz. Apparently this change suited the B139 better.

I recently acquired a pair of Fried Model R2 speakers and I find they sound terrific - very non-fatiguing mids and highs with superb bass extension thanks to that classic KEF driver combo and the line tunnel cabinet design. Heavy suckers.

Their value depends on many things.....
a) where you live (postage costs involved with these things is very high)
b) their cosmetic condition
c) their originality (whether they have had replacement drivers)
d) and lastly, how many people are around at the time who are willing to pay good money for them......

IMF / Fried products have a loyal following. If the cabinets are in bad shape, the drivers can fetch good money on their own.

Any pics?
