Curious about these old Corals

I came across this ad;
http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/124439-coral_cx77_speakers_vintage_1976/
I am not affiliated with this ad in any manner, I am not interested in purchasing these speakers, nor do I care about the price. I have not seen a Coral speaker of this apparent quality before. Was wondering if any of you out there in AK land have heard these old girls and how do they compare with NS-1000, HPM 100 and the like.
I am just curious.:scratch2:

Considering that 99% of the Coral BX series speakers that appear for sale in North America are borderline Kabuki models these are quite a step up and look cool to boot. I have never seen these before and I've been scanning ebay speaker auctions for years, so if you want something rare these are the ticket. Coral has produced some amazing full range single driver units and fine sounding co-axial drivers over the years, so the potential is there. It would be nice if some AKer could hear these in person and report.

Those are Corals that were released in Japan only, very HQ speakers....and are not anything like the crap Kabuki's that are widely found in this hemisphere...Somewhere there is a thread about these and other Japanese offerings that are all very Uber High end...these being part of that stable...

Rather reminds me of something Yamaha would have made!! Looks nicely made, mirror imaged, screened drivers, cast frames, slot vented and stands to boot! I think they would be something to go look and listen to.

I use a pair of calrad speakers as my daily speakers. This are the same as coral but sold as clarad's. This are all in one 4 way speakers a horn in the middle, one little tweeter on top and one on the bottom, centered in a 12" woofer. I must say they sound fantastic. I have only seen one pair on that sold on ebay around the same time I got mine, I have never seen them since. They are what started the addiction.
