MC240 Speaker terminal

Hello,

Long time reader, first time poster here...

I own Mcintosh MC240, however the plastic that separates the terminal is broken, is there any where I can find replacecment for them? Thank you.

Radio Shack has them and believe it or not they look identical
and Parts Express has a few too.

I found some of the barrier strip many years ago at a hamfest - by the foot. Bought about 20 feet of it (1 foot lengths), I cut off what I need, drill out the end terminals, buff out the saw marks, and have original looking speaker terminal strip.
OK nobody ever said I do things the easy way .....

MC240 - attaching Cardas Spades Attachment?

Hello,

Just picked up an MC240, got some great cables, but the spades are a bit larger than what the terminal strips allow.

I can attache them, but I'd prefer a better seat to the terminal.

Any mods or ideas?

Off the 'bay is what I use.

"8 Adapter Fisher Mcintosh Eico Amp Banana Plug SPADE"

-edit-I've got several power amps with those thin barrier strips so I bought a bunch of these. I leave them on the amplifiers, it makes changing out amps easier.

I use them on my MC275, very handy for quick hookups.

I use the adapters CruzBay posted, and they can work well with banana terminations (or raw wire), but if you want to preserve your cables' modern spade terminations, here is my own brilliant solution

There was another device called an 'Outpost' but Prelude Audio, the supplier, seems to have disappeared. It was basically a block with normal binding posts plus pigtails that attached to the amp's barrier strips.
