Well it's late at night and I have neighbours :thumbsdn: but at low levels it sounds sweet and very deep. I auditioned Tracy Chapman Fast Car, Vangelis Jerusalem and some James Newton Howard. With Chapman the bass is a deep synth bass and it was conveyed very well Vangelis has an organ note that is around 16hrtz and I felt it, Howard has the best recorded drum set i ever heard and was natural sounding without being tubby. I will give a better review when I play it at a better listening level.

I used the guidelines from the speaker maker to design the size of the enclosure. It is 3/4" MDF covered in velvet like carpet and to make it wife friendly I will be getting a smoked glass top for it. Since it is daytime now I pushed it a little more and got the china cabinet shaking 
I have to dig out Telarc's Time Warp to realy here how deep and loud this baby goes.

Thought I’d jump in here and show you guys the sub I built. I designed the box for a 17Hz cutoff for my HT system. I’m using an old Phase linear amp to drive it. At moderate SPL it sounds great. I used some 12” MTX car stereo drivers I got at best buy for cheap. It originally had 1 12” driver but have since upgraded to two. I made measurements; it’s flat within 3db from 17- 80Hz.

A few questions as I do not know much about subwoofers and how they fit into a two channel stereo system.
Is your Sansui b-2102 power amp dedecated only to the subwoofer and do you have another amp for you main speakers?
Is the dual voice coil used one coil per stereo channel?
How do you wire up the subwoofer with your mains? Do you drive the mains on say A speaker connection and subwoofer as B?

Ohhhh, that's nice drz. I suspect I am after the same info as Charlie. I was following his 2.1 thread. I'm thinking my Dynaco A25s with a sub would be perfect.

mmmmmmmm our classic xs cargo sub.... what city? those are suprisingly well made subs, i've got one around here i need to put in a box.
