Different user name, but same kind of disjointed speech, possibly not a native English speaker. But one gave a price and offered to ship, the other starts and zero and does not offer to ship.

If it were me...I'd pass. Too many red flags for my taste.

But everyone should do as they feel appropriate.

I'm going to watch this one. If it goes real cheap, I'm close enough to drive over and see it before paying. :yes:
 
I sent message to seller on eb** asking what EXACTLY is being auctioned. Waiting for response. It's up to $710 now. I even offered to drive from VA to Brooklyn to pick up.We'll see. I'll post back if & when I get a reply.
 
Possibly he thinks the "free shipping" means he expects only local pickup and is new to ebay and doesn't know how to properly write an ad?
Could be english is a secondary language for the seller?
 
Looks like it was listed on audiogon, didn't sell and now the seller is trying ebay. i'd bet the seller's first lang isn't english.

I'd want to see it before i paid.
 
what a way to break into ebay. :D pretty careless listings. could be a huge score for someone if the seller is as naive as he/she sounds.
 
if i was a local, i'd give it a try. he wants local pickup. i'd ask for his address to check the stuff out before bidding, and if i win, i'd bring a buddy or two with a shotgun to make sure he doesn't pull something funny out of his hat.:D
