Hello my name is Mike. I am new on this site and was hoping to meet some new people with some good knowledge on speakers. I just landed a mint pair of DCM Timeframe 2000's. I am super stoked on these speakers and was hoping to find some people on here with maybe some knowledge on these or atleast the Timeframe line. Also I will need to buy a very good amp for these and was wondering if anyone could give me solid advice on the right amps for these BEASTS!! Please anyone feel free to chime in and chat about euipment. I do have some knowledge but could use a lot more. Thx, Mike

Congrats on the TF-2000 speakers. :thmbsp: I'd bet good money you're the only person on the forum that owns them. Very few people have even seen them, and then it was only in legend.

Please post some pics!

Awesome thankyou!! I am new as of today so how do I post a pic in this thread? Do I upload first through my profile on here?

Absolutely Awesome!!! I have TF700's and love them. I believe everything folks have said about the TF2000 is true.... so please don't tell Heather you have them! ;)

So how did you come by these??? Give us the history!!! These are uber rare so please don't tell us you found them at Goodwill!!!

...and let me be the one to use the...

:worthless

Yes yes, PLEASE - post some pix of that rare beast - from what others on the site have said, the TF-2000 was under development as a new model, was shown at some audio shows, and never formally went into production.

A previous poster hinted that there were at most, maybe 2 dozen of them floating around.

Not sure where in the world you are, but I'd love to hear them if you are anywhere in the eastern side of the US ...

(I don't think you can post pix until you have 5 or so posts on the site, to discourage spammers)

Congratulations on scoring probably the rarest of the DCM TF series. I would like to hear a pair of those and the 1000's just to compare them to the other TF's that I have heard and owned.

Someone here may have contact info for Steve Eberbach. Perhaps he could give you additional info if you send him an e-mail.

Upload pics to photobucket, then use the image tags to link them.

I actually was pre-mapping out an auction to go to in NJ and found them on the auctions website with like 2 pictures. I quickly went to the auction pre-view the day before and when I walked in they had them playing. I was super surprised that they were 99% flawless. Literally the only thing better would be straight out the box. I went to the auction the next day and I won the bid at $180 plus buyers premium and sales tax which then amounted to about $220 I was really fired up when I won. I did do some research on these and was willing to go will all the money I had which was $400 but I got real lucky. They are so clean and I would of went much more than that if I had too if I had more money because of the quality and rarity of these. I am working on getting some pics up here in the next half hour of them. I have them sitting in a room not hooked up yet as I am moving in the next couple months and need to buy a new amp for them as well.

Wow holy smokes.

Cool find, indeed. Makes me happy I post here.

Hopefully someone can chime in about an amp, I don't think they're very inefficient so they probably present a fairly easy load to amps.. meaning you should have a good variety of amps to choose from.

Welcome Mike, I am driving my 600s with a vintage HK amp I paid $75 for...about 80-90 wpc i believe. They sound great, and at 9 o'clock on the volume, they are filling one floor of my home! I don't think you will have a hard time finding an amp capable of pushing them,my Timeframes seem fairly efficient, I would bet yours are as well.

Ok hopefully this works...These are my babies. I posted my screen name with the pic too to show I am legit. I apologize for the glare and the lighting situation. I am so pumped on these!! Me and my fiance are moving into a New York style loft which has 20ft. ceilings in it with big space too so I would imagine these are going to sound ridiculous!! Thx everyone who is posting and giving me some good advice!!

New pair of custom speakers being delivered to me $60!!!

Wow speakers are calling me now. I just landed some crazy pair of custom vintage speakers on CL. They each have 19 speakers in them. Guy said his uncle was a huge speaker buff and that his dad (brother) made these for him in the 70's! They are being delivered to me in an hour for $60...let me know what you think. I will try to upload more pics on them when I get them.

Mike
