I have some B-301s I use as my cube speakers at work and like them a lot. They are a little thin sounding compared to the B302s, but they aren't objectionable. Those appear to be in great shape and the back grille does a lot for modernizing them. I think 125.00 is a pretty good price in that shape.

I attempted to contact him about the 301's. I havn't gotten a responce yet. I live 30 - 35 miles away, I would like to audition them. I read that they were fairly efficient, but could not find any specifications on them. The ad says good with tube setups or vintage solid state. Would anyone know the approximate power handeling abilities. I have a Pioneer SA-9500 (80wrms) do you think they could handle the power?. thanks. CC

Cosmic Charlie, I have a pair of B-301's and as a set of second speakers (main one's are Bozak 401's) attached to my Sansui 9090db, which is rated at 125 watts/channel. Haven't had a single problem with that amount of power going through the B-301's, even when running just the B-301's by themselves. Mind you, I'm only playing music around volume 2. From what I know of Bozak's, 85 watts/channel should be fine. By the way, those B-301's look in great shape. At the offering price, they are truly a bargain. Bozak's can sound a little flat since they don't boost the soloing intrument/voice somewhat forward, but you can use the sound adjustments on the back of the speakers and your amp to get your desired sound quality. I had them connected to a G-9700 and never had any issues, albeit at only a fraction of the power they are capable of. I did turn up the volume while connected to an H/K AVR80 (*85w/channel) and Toshiba SA-775 (75w/ch) without any negative effects.
There is a tweeter attenuation adjustment on the back of the pair i have. If you audition them, make you you adjust to suit your tastes. On the highest setting, they can get a bit bright sounding.
