My first light job! (Kenwood KA-9150)

I just finished my first replacement of bulbs this evening. A few months ago, I purchased a sweet Kenwood KA-9150, however, the previous owner had replaced the white bulbs with some kind of wierd blue lamps, which recently failed due to a cold solder joint (with no shrink tubing). These were held in place by a screw in type socket with an automotive looking bulb cover with a plastic housing. I had to break them to remove. I have no idea how in hades he installed them in such a tight space. Now that these were removed, I had nothing to hold the bulbs in place. I rushed to the local Lowe's and purchased a pack of 3/8 inch rubber grommets, which perfectly fit the holes and they hold the bulbs firmly in place. A little soldering and some heat shrink and Kenny is shining again. Gave him a little drink of some DeOxit while I was at it.

I think they look much better than the old dim blue bulbs that were in there. Btw, I used 8v 150ma lamps.

Excellent job. I always get somebody else to do my bulbs cause my fingers are to big.
