Stereophile Show Pictures!

Here are some pictures from Ron's booth at the Stereophile Home Entertainment Show. There are a few more that I will post as soon as I get some time. Sorry for the poor image quality. I am trying to be dial-up friendly.

We had a short staff at the HE show so I forgot to take pictures!! My co-worker Sally Goff has some though so I will have her forward them for a post.
The show room for once did NOT have the dreaded t-bar ceiling. We stored the pallets around the room behind the curtains and tall skirted tables. Keeping your shipping materials is key to a fast tear down. We had 5 pallets of gear which took 2 hours and 45 minutes to pack up. Someone said I looked like a longshoreman when were packing up. The front amps weigh almost 1000 lbs for the pair and we schlepped them all out side to the pallet staging area. The speakers weigh more.
On set up we noticed the MCD201 had vacated the room before we arrived. Everyone likes that player even the thieves. We found a very rough engineering prototype / cosmetic model that was Fed Ex ed from the factory out for the show. I pressed it into service and it sounded great and worked like crap. Took forever to load a disk. I could not stand it any longer by the last day of the show so I loaded our current operational software. The first software disk went well and the second killed the machine. Ha! I later found out it was a prototype machine with a non production main board. Whoops!
That said, it played the stack of new disks the software vendors dropped in the room with superb fidelity. Sound wise it was production. The new Telarc disks all sounded great by the way in both PCM and DSD. We tried them both ways and was hard to hear the difference on this very transparent big system.
Show goers seemed to like playing their own disks or surfing through the MS300 which picked up about 20 new CDs in its library during the show. Only takes 4 minutes to rip one to the hard drive. The MS300 is my own unit with over 300 CDs loaded.
Next year the show will be at the Palmer House in Chicago so we hope to meet a whole new group of friends then.

How do you upload pictures so others can view? Yesterday, my new stereo got up and running and let me tell you, McIntosh is clean and true. Many of you asked for pictures and I would like to comply if you still want to view. Thanks in advance.

When you have the reply window open, scroll down to Additional Options box.
Scroll down to Manage Attachments, click on the tab to open it.
Then load your file names in the boxes.
Click upload, photo size cannot be more than 900 in either direction btw
Click on the close window, that's all!
