because what i did this morning at 7:00

i painted a 1975 Vespa.... god, these humps... wasn't easy.

a little Storyboard attached, from start to this morning. it was ROTTEN, bumpy and rotten again... had 3 paints after its original yellow. a ugly bi***, really.

it started 1 1/2 weeks ago with welding and body-stabilizing works...

after that it got some primer

then i tried to get a form in the bumps that is clos to the original ...

Filler-Primer....

and this morning paint..... (the bottom and insides and edges i did 3 days ago)

woah.. what a dirt....

now i leave it alone a few days...
in the weekend the owner can start reassembling...

sometimes something else then audiostuff...

mmmh - don't know.

i uploaded them in the first post, when it told me that i can't save because of tomany pictures.
then i copied the picture links into a second posting and saved this...
maybe this is the Problem.

sorry that its not mine, its of a friends friend... he will start assembling next weekend.
I did it for money... but due to the horrible condition i couldn't really tell how good it will get and how long it will take. I counted hours and told him ~90$ per 8h-day. i got on 6.8 days.... til today

But i will have a better one next year. I am working on a '57 NSU Prima (former Model Lambretta until the Manufacturer Lambretta got angry about using the trade Mark Lambretta as a Model...) for myself.
150cc, 10 Hp, electrical starter, 12volt system ...

i don't eat too much, work 8 hrs a day, after this i am easy to tame with some beers... a place to sleep...
I weld and do the bodywork if the material is there

will take a few weeks. but - the paintjob on this will be horrible... 3-4 kg paint i guess. i need 1,5 for a european middle class limo.

Helge, those things are hugely popular in SA. After the relaunch everyone with an old Vespa under the chicken coup, has taken it out and restored it.

The only scooter that's not wimpy for a man to ride IMHO.
