Doc if I read your info and talking with Siamac. Am I correct in saying the SG-50 (M) /SG-750 are the only two Spectrum Analysers Pioneer made during this era?

I have the SG-50(M) and managed to after a 4+ month search on ebay find the matching microphone for it.

I've used it to setup my listening room but personally I can't tell much differance. I do how ever love the vertical green bar display it's almost as if you can see the music.

SG-50, SG-750 and SG-700 are the same, but different colours.

This is an old picture, now I´m using a SG-50 with my Series20-System.:

Thanks Siamac. That's cool then that I have the one Spectrum Analyzer that Pioneer made. I really like that Black European finish one you have.

I had the SG-3 bought new in 83. During shipment in 85, it came up missing. The SG-750 was the closest replacement, so that's what I was re-embursed for. I like it, and it's still in use. The only thing that I wish I still had the SG-3 is that it ampified the power. When it was turned on the volume increased. The SG-750 only changes the sound, it doesn't amplify.

Excellent job as always Doc. I use the GR-777 to "cut" my HPM-100's
due room acoustic issues. Man, it works perfectly all these years. People
who, on other forums say pioneer gear is'nt durable, are out to lunch.
I also see pioneer EQ's are in great demand on Ebay. Great thread, Thanks

I was just looking through a 1988 catalog that contained sales "pitches" on features of Pioneer components.

Looking at the GR-777 equalizer, that unit has 5 resident patterns: heavy, clear, soft, visual, vocal. It provided a chart for each pattern:

It also allowed 5 user defined patterns: I would imagine this is where you would store one of the popular sine wave patterns.

Hi Siamac

What is the model number of the CD player in the picture of your system - looks real cool? That looks something like a silver version of the stable platter PD-8700 - am I correct?

Cheers
Loz.

I got myself a Pioneer SG-530 Equaliser, but don't have the manual. Does anyone here have a copy?

What i need is help to connect it up to the Pioneer SA-510 Integrated Amp
Can anyone here guide me ?

I just picked up a Pioneer SG-750 (silver face) from a recycle centre.
Does that mean I have something very good?
