SS Amps That Will Run 2 Ohms

I can think of several brands of SS amps that will take a 2 Ohm load and not start a fire. Can some of you add to the list? Should be rated by the manufacture to handel the load, not just that they did not self destruct when you did it.

1st Soundcraftsmen amps

2nd Sansui "BA5000 only one rated for 2 Ohms?

3rd Yamaha M series ?

Aragon 4004, Adcom 555, Hafler DH-500 and the Crown DC-300A will safely drive 2 ohm loads. The Aragon will deliver 800 wpc into 2 ohms.

Are you sure about the GAS Son Of Ampzilla?

I have a Boston Audio Society (BAS) test report, by Alvin Foster and Wally Swanbon, comparing low-priced receivers and they claimed the GAS Son Of Ampzilla "clattered" and "rang" when driven hard into low-resistance loads. In this case it occured into 2 ohms.

The testers were impressed by the h/k 330c (they ranked it as a best buy) which drove loads down to 1.3 ohms.
The report mentioned the h/k 330c out-classed the reference unit which was a Marantz 2275 driving a 2 ohm and 1.3 ohm loads. Below are the loads and output power of three units from the test report. They did not include the GAS Son Of Ampzilla in the data.

There are alot of power amps that can. My stats constantly dip below 2 ohms and I have run them with a Philips a Adcom and a BGW and all are still alive and kicking.
 
The Crown Reference 1 and 2 will safely drive ANY load this side of a dead short, they do particularly well with reactive loads like stats, and with a damping factor in excess of 20,000 make exceptional subwoofer amps. I've also found my BGW GTA's to be pretty bulletproof, but they probably tend to be more of a "pro" amp than most Akers would prefer and do require special AC power line considerations particularly when driving difficult loads.

What kind of price range is there for his (Van Alstine's) amps? I believe he runs stuff out of his home.
 
You started the thread with my choices. Soundcraftsmen and the Yamaha M-80/M-85 are rated in excess of 800 watts into 2 ohms, and a review of the M-80 actually went over 1000 watts into 2 ohms.
And the little giant, the NAD 3020 is a crazy little thing that would happily drive about any load--maybe not loud, but be in the hunt.
