Hell yeah I scored one of these of CL for $35 today. Pics by tomorrow.

I hear it's a very fine unit with 3 heads, and it's worth a lot more than a measly $35

Let me know what y'all think ;)

Nice Unit

I bought one new along with other Kenwood gear in 1978, I think. It was a wonderful deck with tape bias. Using TDK SA tapes, I made a ton of mix tapes for all my friends. Excellent recordings with dynamic sound! I still have and listen to tapes I made over 30 years ago with that deck! Great quality for it's time-:music:

Nice buy indeed! It's an overall excellent deck that is capable of sounding real nice. Build quality is exceptional too.. In fact,it's up there with the best of 'em,but for some reason or another it often tends to get overlooked in favour of the TOTL Pioneers from the same period .. Congratulations!

cool. thanks for the replies guys. i'm glad i've made an alright purchase yet again.

i don't know what it is but i like listening to analog sound so much more than digital. it just doesn't feel right depending on a dac until i purchase a high end unit.

here are some photos, can anyone assist me in the deoxit process? maybe re-post an image with dots in place of spots to hit with deoxit.

that'd really help a lot as i'm attempting to spends a little less scratch on this project.

been a couple days, and almost a couple hundred views, so i thought i'd bump it up.

i've seeked help from my audio tech but he's only helped me thus far. i still need aid finding where exactly i gotta hit with deoxit to have a successful piece of equipment.

would someone offer up knowledge to this? it will not go to waste.

I already plan on looking into a Pioneer Sx780 that'll need attention too.
