Need some Help

I’m totally ignorant with regard to wiring things. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, a FiiO BTR17, and my Apos Gremlin (headphone tube amp) will be delivered Sunday. The BTR17 cannot be used as a simple line out. Is there a way to connect the phone to the FiiO (in wired, phone mode), and use the FiiO 4.4 mm headphone output to connect to the back of the Gremlin via the dual three pin XLR input? Will that work? I do have the 4.4 mm /dual three pin XLR cable. Thank you for taking pity on a noob.

From the iPhone 14 to FiiO DAC, you need the official Apple Lightning-to-USB Camera Adapter, of which there are 3 different models ... or an Apple-licensed third-party equivalent cable, denoted by the term "MFi certified". That provides USB-audio output from the iPhone to USB input of the FiiO.
Don't use a generic lightning-to-USB cable - that does not support USB-audio.

Then from the FiiO to the Gremlin you need either a 4.4mm-to-2xXLR-M cable, or 4.4mm-to-4.4mm cable.
