Set to restore a Kenwood Model 500

I own a lot of Laboratory Series Kenwood components and am a collector. I've seen your posts over the years and happy that you got the 500 Supreme. From what I've read, its the same as the 600 but 90-100 wats per channel and the 600 is 130 watts per channel at 8 Ohm. Please let me know how it...

    I did it, I bought a Kenwood. An L-1000C pre-amp.

Do you still have the Kenwood L-1000C? If so, do you still use it? Regards, Rick

Is a Shibata overkill for rock?

Never heard Sade on vinyl. Sounds great on my computer speakers. I am sure it sounds a lot better in your listening room.

Is a Shibata overkill for rock?

Shibata stylus is cut to retrieve more information out of the groove and usually lasts about 600 hours. If its new, it will take some hours to get its best sound. If you are happy with its sound, why worry about wasting more money on something else that may not sound as good.

Adcom into Klipsch. Too much power?

You are over driving the speakers and straining the amplifier, Why are you doing this?

Kenwood Model 650 or L-07M II

Most will say that the Kenwood L-07MII will have more control of the bass and sound nice across the whole frequency range. The Kenwood 600/650 integrated amplifiers will sound great but smoother overall but not tube like.

    Kenwood KR-7600 buzzing

This Kenwood receiver is quite old. It needs to be serviced. It could be a lot of things. Bad solder joint, bad capacitors or even a bad ground. I would have someone competent to take a look at it. Be sure to do your research before taking it to anyone. So many bad shops that will ruin it and...

    Kenwood L07M troubleshooting again

Since you have a working L-07M, use it to compare by checking every board to check and replace all components. It will be timely but its the best way to go about it. Good luck!

Classic SS Preamps - Keepers and Sleepers

Toshiba SA-7150 best receiver that I ever heard. They made some excellent hardware but unfortunately were too late in the game to succeed in a big way.

Classic SS Preamps - Keepers and Sleepers

Kenwood did not make many stand alone preamplifiers. I owned a restored 700C and currently run L-08C because of the moving coil input that the 700C doesn't have. Mates very well with my L-08M's.

    Kenwood L-08M speaker recommendations

I would love a pair of Kenwood Model Seven speakers but they are just too big for my listening environment. Excellent suggestion if I could find a pair and had a bigger room to use them in.

    Kenwood L-08M speaker recommendations

Kenwood Seven, LS-990, LS-1000, LS-1800, LS-1900 speakers are exceptional. These are not the cheap Japanese speakers you may be thinking about.

    Kenwood L-08M speaker recommendations

I've used Vandersteen 2ce speakers in the past and loved them but wanted to try something else. I am using Kinergetics subwoofers and Spica TC-50's.
