    New Grado's

I have many pairs of Grados, ranging from the SR80e, to the PS1000, and I just love my new SR80e. I have the L-pads on mine, wich I think take's them to the next level, and I think that they have one of the best price vs performance ratio of any headphones out there.

You simply go to, ttvjaudio.com, and if you do order the flats , let me no what you think of them.

I picked up a pair of Grado sr80s!

I'm the proud owne of the entire 1000 family, meaning the GS/PS/HP1000, I also have a pair of Bushmills X, and yesterday I picked up a pair of SR80e. When I got home I swapped the S-earpads, for some TTVJ flats, and I was floored, by the sound quality that I was hearing from these $130...

Headphones to go with Little Dot 1+ :)

Thinking About Buying Grado Prestige Series SR80e Headphones

A no brainer, a far as i am concerned, I own 5 pairs of Grados ranging from the SR80i, to the PS1000, and that $20 hurts far less than the $500 it costst to go from the GS1000i to the PS1000, add to that, another $75 in taxes on that $500 price difference, at least that is what it amounts to...

    Vintage Headphones

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD400 that I got for my 15th birthday, but I rarely use them now.

    Sources for vintage headphones?

It's not the same thing, but personally , I greatly prefer the sound of my SR80i to that of my HD400. Hey!, I just had an idea, it turns out that we're both searching for vintage headphones, so I'm willing to search for you're brand and model number, if you'll do the same for me. And I'll PM...

    Sources for vintage headphones?

I don't blame you sir, the HD 414 is a classic, I recieved a pair of HD400 for my 15th birthday, the difference is that I held on to mine, and after 33 years, they're still running strong.

Thinking About Buying Grado Prestige Series SR80e Headphones

It's too bad that sound leakeage is a factor because, I onwn 5 pairs of Grados, among wich are, the SR80i, and the flagship PS1000. Grados give you the advantage of tailoring the sound simply by swapping pads, I have swapped the stock S-pad, for some flat pads that I bought from TTVJ on mine...

    Rediscovering headphone magic

In my opinion, you can't get the level of immersion from speakers, no matter how good they are, that you get from headphones. I used to own a pair of HD600, but I decided to join the ''dark side'', and I now get to audio nirvana through Grado's vintage HP1000 and much newer PS1000.

    My AT95E Thoughts

I'm far from beeing an expert, so please don't laugh, but the way I see it, is that maybe what we refer to as cartridge break in, might just be the LP ''molding'' itself to the new cartridge, I mean diamond is much harder than vinyl, isn't it?

    My AT95E Thoughts

Hmmm!, maybe I should try my AT95e on my SL-1200 MK2, I don't expect it to put the 2M Black to shame, but who knows?, I might be pleasently surprised.

    My AT95E Thoughts

I have a Technics SL-1200MK2 with an Ortofon 2M Black, and a Yamaha YP-D6, with an AT95e, now, even tough the 2M Black is forensic in it's ability to retrieve détails that the AT95e will gloss over, I still prefer the later with less than perfect LPs. I think that it's very musical, has good...
