I log in every month or so whether I need something or not, just to make it looks like my account is "active".

Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he immediately got flooded with bots looking to download the manuals so they can turn around and try to hock them on ebay.

Scammers are relentless and the process to do that is probably all "'automated" so as soon as one got in, the "deluge" probably began...

I'm taking a different tack and praising AK for never going down and always remaining a mostly hospitable and friendly environment for posters. Not sure why other sites struggle so much but AK is doing something right that they could learn from.
