System in Home Theater Mag (Photo's Finally!) & Confessions

Today I had my entire system professionally photographed for the upcoming December issue of Home Theater Magazine.

I got to see the photos on the camera, they are amazing. I will get them posted when the photographer gets me the disc. They are 12 megapixel photos each.

I will keep everyone posted. Special thanks to McIntosh Inc. & Charles Randall who made this honor possible. :music:

Congrats, Ivan!! Two suggestions:

1. You should PM Grumpy to see about some kind of special upload arrangements, or you may not be able to load images that big.

2. Get the photographer to provide downsized images set to AK's maximum normal size. Otherwise anyone on dial-up will never see them.

Actually, if you will email me when you have them, I can make any adjustments necessary to your permissions and or the photos.

There won't be any ownership issues, about the pictures, with the photographer, I hope? 'Personal use only' vs. publication on the internet type of thing?
 
Man talking about rolling out the red carpet for a guy!Ivan congatulation,I know you are proud of your system,as well you should be.I hope the pictures post so we can finally see the whole setup and your room.Will you be showing all the non Mac stuff also?Yours has to be one of the best in The US,if not the best.

No problem there, personal use is fine. Besides we have permission to use for publication.

Yes, everything will be shown (except all the little hidden tweaks). We have whole room shots, equipment shots, screen shots, speaker w/ & w/o grille shots. :p:

Thank you for your kind words. It's kind of funny, when I first built my System I never imagined it would become such a large part of my life. But, after a few additions & upgrades (alright, a lot of additions & upgrades) it started to take on a life of it's own. I am simply freeing Mac gear from the dark dusty shelves at the factory. :scratch2:

Seriously, I just wanted to push the envelope to see how far a System could go. I now know, if anyone wants a copy of the bill... LMK :jawdrop:

Just caught the thread. Sincere congrats on the honor rightfully bestowed upon you. That is one issue I will be looking forward to buying and drooling over the pics. Really looking forward to my visit in January.

Hope it's not too late to get full closeup side shots of the 2KW's. Want to see just how big the Amps are. Everybody seems to want to photo them head-on and you really can't see anything like that. Thanks in advance to what I'm sure will be super shots of your gear.

Won't be able to get any side shots due to the way they are installed in my system. When you see the photo's you will know why.

They still have to be cropped, parallax & color corrected.

He's guarded on the high res photo's but I'll get them. Enjoy All!!!
