I just acquired a pair of Mission Mk II Model 70 bookshelf speakers to replace my laundry room KLH 26s. They look great and sound fine.

Counting all of the speakers assigned to the many sound systems in the house:
2 Klipschorns
2 Klipsch Heresies (original model with the riser bases)
2 Omega Grande 6s
2 Fisher XP 15s
2 Fisher XP 9s
2 Bozak B-302As (with custom cabinets)
2 Bozak LS-250s
2 Mission 761is
2 Scott S-18s
2 Infinity Reference Twos
2 Marathon 6.2s
2 Marathon Speakers
2 Marathon 8.2s
2 UltraPhonics (three-foot tall, generic, Chinese-made junk speakers I got for free and into which I put two Dayton Audio 15" replacement woofers - my garage system)
2 KLH Model 26s
1 Realistic Minimus 3.5 (center channel speaker in office system)

I think my mania has reached a scary level.......

The only speakers I have are my CS-99's for BOTH my new concept 16.5 and my SX-939.:tears:  I also have a couple of shitty ones for the SX-424 thats in the shop. I WANT MORE SPEAKERS!!!!! I don't want any crappy ones though. I want to save up for a few years and make do with what I got until I can buy some cornwalls or a couple pairs or L100's or HPM-100's. I was looking through the Stereophile magazine that I subscribe to and I saw one pair of speakers that is decently priced(under 2K.:sigh:) They are called "Revel Concerta ???". They are priced at 1.5K and I was thinking that they might be a nice present for myself when I go to college in a couple of years--but theyre still so expensive that I will probably not end up getting them. Has anyone had any experience with their speakers?:scratch2:

Damn Homer that is pretty impressive with a nice variety. Which ones do you like the best?

And how do you like the Rectilinear III compared to the large Advents?

Oops. I voted before I read that you were considering each speaker individually, not pairs. I own five pairs:

JBL L100T
Wharfedale W25
Cerwin-Vega U10
Marantz 1230
Fisher ST845

The Fishers and Marantzes were given to me. I bought the Wharfedales at a thrift store. Bought the JBLs from the friend who gave me the Marantzes, and the Cerwin Vegas were inherited from my folks.

Hi everyone, i own Mostly Cerwin vegas
Cerwin vega D-3
Cerwin vega D-7
Cerwin vega D-9
Cerwin vega Vs-120
and Yamaha nsa636
I also own 2 cerwin vega car subwoofers and 2 Kicker car subwoofers.

The bose just puts me over 20, I knew they were good for something :music:

Uriah

SpeakerLab Super 7's
Klipsch Kg4's
Realistic Minimus 7's
Creative Inspire T3000 2.1 powered computer speakers
Roland powered computer speakers
...and a sad sounding set of KLH center + rear speakers, an amazon.com impulse buy, now gathering dust

No vintage stuff yet. Still looking for some reasonably priced NS-1000's (as if) or some decent Sony APM's (rare to say the least)

- 1 pair KEF IQ5's main
- 1 KEF Q10C center
- 1 pair KEF IQ1's surround
- 2 pair Sony SH-7900 active MFB/Electrostatic hybrids (bedroom and study systems) (being from 1994 I guess they are kinda vintage)
- 1 Mission MS8 sub

I've just acquired a pair of KEF Q30s, in superior condition, which sold for £349 in 1995-96 for $56 for use in my home office system. The number of available rooms is diminishing.

Counting all of the speakers assigned to the many sound systems in the house:
2 Klipschorns
2 Klipsch Heresies (original model with the riser bases)
2 Omega Grande 6s
2 Fisher XP 15s

New Speaker Acquisition

A few days ago, I acquired a pair of KEF Corellis, circa 1975. These speakers use the same tweeter as the Rogers LS3/5A model and have a fairly similar, extremely neutral sound with, perhaps, a bit more bass. In excellent condition, I put them atop a pair of Parts Express 18" High Mass metal speaker stands, whose columns I filled with sand. They sound absolutely great, and different from the KEF Q30s I acquired in December. I have attached a photo.

Counting all of the speakers assigned to the many sound systems in the house:
2 Klipschorns
2 Klipsch Heresies (original model with the riser bases)
2 Omega Grande 6s
2 Fisher XP 15s
2 Fisher XP 9s
2 Fisher XP 5s
2 Bozak B-302As (with custom cabinets)
2 Bozak LS-250s
2 KEF Q30s
2 Mission 761is
2 Mission MkII Model 70s
2 Scott S-18s
2 Infinity Reference Twos
2 Marathon 6.2s
2 Marathon Speakers
2 Marathon 8.2s
2 UltraPhonics (three-foot tall, generic, Chinese-made junk speakers I got for free and into which I put two Dayton Audio 15" replacement woofers - my garage system)
2 KLH Model 26s
1 Realistic Minimus 3.5 (center channel speaker in office system)

I know my mania has reached a scary level.......

I have a fair amount but my situation is a little unique since I build them as a job. I have a set of Mirage M460's from the early 90's and I picked up a pair of B&W DM2 mkII's in a package deal. That's all the consumer type speakers I have.

I also have a prototype pair of indoor/outdoor boxes, a couple pairs of in-walls, and 3 garden tumors (1 is the original prototype and pretty ugly). I did the design work on the garden weenies and specified on the I/O's. The inwalls were a "perk". I have a set of HT speakers that never made it to market as the company decided not to enter that market after all.

Everything else I've got was built by me in the shop. Right now are 4 pairs sitting around the living room. My mains, some bookshelf types with the best midrange driver I've heard from an electrodynamic, and 2 pairs I'm looking to sell. I have a set similar to the Adire Audio HE10.1 that were developed at about the same time, Dan Wiggins and I chatted about them. I have a set of Tang Band drivers in transmission lines, some mini line arrays that were an aborted experiment, and some very good sounding computer speakers made from now unavailable Versa-tronics woofers.

I'm sure I'm leaving something out but off the top of my head that's what I've got up and running. In the shop right now are parts for a cheap line array, my brother's Adire Shiva+PR sub, an ELF sub (a la Bag End), a set of MTM transmission lines I'm playing with now, and a handfull of drivers for smallish subs for computer systems etc.

Amazing to me is that my motley pile is dwarfed by some of you folk. Good on ya!!

Since we last spoke...

I added some monster Sansui SP-300s ("Can you hear me now?!"), and some cosmetically challenged JBL Lancer 99s.

Advent Large Original (x2)
Acoustic Research AR-2ax, AR-3a
AudioSource LS-1
Boston Acoustics A-40, A-150, A-200 (x2)
Cambridge Soundworks Newton M-50
Cizek 727
EPI 100 (x2), EPI 150
Epicure 10
Frazier F-12-4H Black Box (x2)
Insignia NS-B2111
JBL Lancer 99
KLH 23
Klipsch Cornwall
Mission 700, 761i, 763, 765
Polk R-15
Sansui SP-300

54 (don't tell my wife).

New.

This is ridiculous. The herd will start thinning soon. Very soon.

I have:

Altec-Lansing 45s -- 1 pair
AR-4x -- 3 pairs
AR-2ax -- 1 pair
AR-5 -- 1 pair
Marantz 30/300 -- 1 pair

For a grand total of 14 individual speakers.

Of course, I'm looking for a set of high-efficiency speakers to run off of a SET amp. Perhaps I'll build the Madisound BK-16.

The search never ends.
