Nudes of a BGW 750A

Well after being down for over 2 months. I finally got the time to break down my non playing 750 a. The only reason I have time to look at it now is because I'm home from work with the flu. So this may take awhile. I know it's hard to see, but that transformer is massive.

I have a friend that could well afford any amp he wants and the BGW are the only ones he wants. He swears by them, he is driving Klipsch Jubilees with them.

Well this is the first generation 750 and it has pushed my stats hard many a times. But one drunk night I think the dipping into the 1 ohm loads finally took it's toll. My loss for now. I hope one day to have it going again.

It uses MJ15024 & 15025 outputs. Look for cracked solder joints on the small xistors that bolt on to the heat sink.

As posted here before, BGW made excellent pro amps that usually handle anything you can throw that them. I run a 750E to drive my JBL B380 and it hardly works keeping up with M-85 for the main speakers. I'd love to get my hands on another one, probably replace the M-85 with it. How you killed it is beyone me...hope you get it going again.
